About Hixson Youth Athletic Association
HYAA is a nonprofit community service organization. There is no better way to create a sense of community and promote excellence than running a top notch sports program, and we are dedicated to ensuring that all children have the right to participate in one that combines an acceptable mix of instruction, competition and recreation in a fun environment which fosters their development as players and teaches them the benefits of participating on a team. At HYAA, we offer baseball, t-ball and softball programs in the spring as well as football, baseball and cheerleading programs in the fall. For those of you that are new to Dizzy Dean baseball, the t-ball program is open to kids age 2 to 4. Coach pitch baseball is divided into two age groups, 5-6 and 7-8 year-olds. Kid pitch baseball starts at age 9 and is divided into 9-10, 11-12 and 13-14 year-old age groups.
